DVC photopass cd discount

My last trip I was able to call member services and get a code for $50 off and then I applied that to the $99 preorder deal and paid $50 for the cd. Today when I called they said they do not offer codes anymore. Has anyone else been able to get one and get the cd for $50?

Photopass now offers a pre-trip, pre-order discount for everyone.

Members only got that $50 code because the link originally didn't work for DVC members. There was also a glitch (only worked for a few weeks until Disney fixed it) that allowed some to stack the MS code on top of the $99 deal and thus get the CD for only $50. It was nice while it lasted.

If you buy the pre order CD, do you link the photo pass card to your order after you get to WDW or do you get one in the mail prior to trip?

We never received a card in the mail. We just got a photopass card from the first photopass photographer we encountered and used it. When we forgot that card at the resort, we just got another one from the photographer.

You can link any number of cards to your account. We also linked a card we got from a Disney Visa picture offer and somehow got one of the ride photos on there, too. Don't remember that procedure, but you can find out just about everything you want to know about photopass on Stitchkingdom's Definitive Guide to Photpass.
