I didnt think they were supposed to pester the heck out of me !!! I have now received my third phone call from DVC pushing AK - not happy at all, in fact its a major turn off!

I haven't gotten one either. Maybe give MS a call and ask them not to call you.

Shouldnt have to do that, but if they call again I am going to go off on them. Hopefully she will heed my "if I have questions I will call you" response ...

Do these folks work on commission?

I'd love DVC to call me regularly to let me know whats new. I don't see the problem with this.:confused3

Dennis-

Must just be the guide you wound up with. I have been dealing with my guide for about 4 months now and the only time he ever called me was to let me know he had sent me some information, ie. the dream book. Other than that he has never called unless of course I called him first with a question.

If you don't want to get calls just tell them not to call. A passive-aggressive hint won't stop the calls.

Dennis-

My assumption was that OP was being called to pressure her into buying, but I could be wrong. It would annoy me, too....not one for talking on the phone to strangers much :)

I have been called twice. On the second call she tried to pressure me and I asked her kindly to stop calling.I think part of the problem is we are really interested in buying but said we wanted to wait until we were down there in Sept, and she was trying to get a firm commitment from us.

It should be a simple matter to just tell them not to call you any more.

As noted above, gentle or not-so-gentle hints probably won't work. The answer is not "No" until you tell them no. But if you just flat tell them not to call, they should respect that.

If they call back after being told not to, I'd get the person's name, hang up on them, and call back and speak to a manager and get it stopped for good.

I have not received a call...if I did and was annoyed I would follow JimMIA's advice!

You indicated you were interested and obviously gave them your phone number. I'm not surprised that they are calling.

We bought this year while we were down in Disney and they did call several times. Not enough to be really annoying just enough to remind us that we were thinking of buying and yes, giving us the push we needed to follow through. I'm pretty sure we would have blown it off another year if they hadnt called, so I'm actually grateful they did.

They did say if we didn't want them to call to please say so, as it wasn't their intention to waste our vacation time.

Sales are slowing so the Guides are pursuing every lead they can. They are paid a salary with incentives for closed sales.

Disney uses a software program to keep track of and to categorize and rate members and potential buyers. Every sales contact ever made and the results of the contact are recorded. If your rating indicates that you are a interested buyer, you might get a phone call and a DVC mailing or two. On the other hand if you are rated as not interested, they won't waist time or money on you.

They can't call me, as I'm in an Canadian province that DVC is not registered in! Nice to know that there would be SOME benefit to that one day, after all the frustrations that's caused.

Well I called them 2 weeks ago and they were supposed to have a guide call me back. She never called so I looked into resales and found a good deal on 100 points and signed the contract 2 days ago. Today the guide calls and I said, "sorry, yall never called me back and I just bought a resale".......sorry

Never got one in 8 years. Plenty of mailings, but no phone calls. Maybe you're just (un)lucky.

We've only gotton two calls - one from MS welcoming us, and one from our guide once we had gotton past that 10 day period (where you can nullify the deal) - also to welcome us. I'm wondering if we'll get a call once BLT hits the market.

I'm on the do not call list. when Disney found out that i was on the do not call list i had to put it writing that they had permission to call me. i have not receive a phone call yet to add on to my contract.

I have never revcd a call from DVC on anything.

I do get some stuff in the mail.
