DVC perks

We will be going to WDW Feb. 2005. We do not have any available points at the moment and we got a really good deal on the Swan so we will be staying there, as we have friends who will be there also. My question is: Since we won't be staying in a DVC resort, can we still use our membership cards to get the various dining discounts etc.? Also should we show our membership card at check in?

You can show your membership card to get the dining & merchandise discounts. You can also use it for valet parking at the DVC resorts that offer it. About the only perk you can't get is pool hopping or UPH discount. No reason to show it at the Swan front desk.

Thank you Debbie, I knew we couldn't use the pool hopping, and I started wondering about the rest.

Twigs -- I did this in August when staying at the Dolphin for a conference & when staying at the WL last month. I walked over to the BWV (and the front desk at WL last month) and asked MS for a pocket perks to refresh my memory on the discounts available. Then I just used my membership card. BTW -- You can get a DVC discount by showing your card at Tubbi's in the Dolphin and Kimono's in the Swan.

For your friends to get the discount, you'll likely need to get one check and let them reimburse you.

Dining discounts at the Swan & Dolphin are 20%. We ate there quite a bit during our June trip and it was wonderful. Be sure to bring your blue DVC card. It's required to get this discount.

can someone tell me what the discount is for the uph? i've been a member since 2001 and i'm not sure if we realized we had this discount. thanks!

10% of the regular price (not the advance purchase discounted price).
