DVC Perks when traveling on cash...

We had booked a trip through AAA for this September before joining the dvc. It didn't make sense to cancel the trip since we got free dining and are staying at Pop which we've always wanted to do and prob won't do in the future now that we're members.

I am confused about something though...

Are we still entitled to dvc perks (other than discounts that just require the blue member card and for pins and things like that)?

example... can we pool hop even though we're not staying at a dvc resort and we didn't book through MS?

Discounts YES!! Don't know about anything else Sorry Walk around as much of Pop Century. You will love it!! Stay in the 70's by the Mickey phone or Big Wheel
Also know there is no free Internet. But your staying at PC

In order to pool hop, your room key has to say "DVC Member" which is not on your key if you pay with cash. You're still a Member though and can use your blue card for discounts.---Kathy

You can't pool hop and you will not get free internet. You can get any of the dining or merchandise discounts with your blue card.

I am so excited about staying at Pop! I'm all about 80's and 90's nostalgia so I'm hoping we get a room by something like that. I also have an old school Mickey phone and can't wait to see the one at the hotel!
