DVC Perks/Discounts?

Hello Everyone!

I usually post on the Parks boards but am venturing here at the suggestion of my friend Granny ....

I am hoping to buy into DVC withing the next year. (Santa, see my wish list )

I have discussed DVC at length with a a couple of members here and have made some decisions on what and where I should buy.

I have recently read the threads concerning the new AP/PAP discount coming into affect in Januarywhich bought this question to mind....

What are the perks and discounts DVC members recieve at WDW due to thier membership?

Just gathering a little more ammo to use when making my case for DVC.

Any friend of Granny's is a friend of ours.

There are a few perks available and they are listed on the top secret DVC web site. But those I can rememebr include discounts on some restaurants (10% off lunch at ESPN was my favorite on the trip we just got back from), mini golfing and some of the tours. As a DVC member you can also pool hop to all of the pools with the exception of SAB and the pool at the AKL.

What resort are you thinking about purchasing at?

I'm not sure how much you can view by going there. Members need a password to get in. You may be able to reach a few of the areas without one.

15% off the WDW tours.

PLUS the new AP discount - I can't wait until Jan 2!!!!

there is a 10% off many of the WDW restuarants including - Olivia(OKW), Kona Cafe at the Polyn (lunch and dinner), Cape May Cafe at the BC/BCV (only dinner) - several others that I just don't remember

I joined OKW (DVC) in 93 - and I still love it.

oh I forgot a 25% off the DVC resorts when available

Just a plug for what those discounts mean for the behind the scenes tours. We usually do one every trip. They are a great different way to enjoy Disney, and the discount is not to be sneezed at!

Unless it has been discontinued, we also got 20% lunch at Chefs du France, Restaurant Marrakesh...and another EPCOT one I don't remember...it was either Germany or China.
