DVC Parking?

We're DVC members and will have one day at Disneyland in August but are not staying at any of the DL resorts or GCV. I don't mind paying for parking but can we park at the GCV as members even if we're not staying there? I am not a fan of parking garages. I think it's like $22?

How much is it to park in the parking garage?

Parking for the theme parks is $16. Valet parking is $22, but I believe that is just for three hours, five hours if you eat at Napa Rose or Storytellers. Anything above that would cost you more. I do not know if DVC members get to park all day at the Grand Californian, but I do not think that is the case.

Good info, appreciate it. With only one day we'll do a midday break for sure and didn't really want to hassle with the parking structure more than once.


If I leave and return, do I have to repay for parking at the structure?

No you don't. But you will need to keep the receipt that you get when you first enter. That pass is good all day.

NO - DVC members cannot park for FREE if NOT staying ON property. You would probably be doing parking @ Downtown Disney which would be the same for eating at Napa or Storytellers with validating. Although yes valet is $22 so if your talking about paying the valet fee for the day it should only be good for the day.

If you pay for parking @ Mickey n Friends stucture ($16?) It's for the FULL day so you should be able to leave mid day then return BUT obviously not when the park is closed.

So are you saving time OR $$ by parking @ The Grand with valet even though you are not staying on property? Cuz I guess I see your point by spending extra money for the conveyance of NOT waiting for the tram or taking a LONG walk while searching for where you left your car.

JUST WOW!!! I've had friends stop by for at least a 3 or 4 hour visit while we are staying @ VGC but they either park @ Mickey n Friends parking or Downtown Disney with no issues. I will have to remember & share this info so they don't go into shock if they decide to valet!
