DVC Parking at the Grand Cal?

Given construction ... what is the current status of parking at the Grand Cal for those staying via DVC?

• Is it still street-level across the street from the hotel? (We have a tall vehicle and avoid parking garages or underground parking.)
• Is it still self parking? Follow-up: May we go directly to the parking lot before checking-in?

The Disneyland website offers general info ... but nothing particularly addressing my questions.

Hotel Parking
For an additional fee, Disneyland Resort hotels offer self-parking for registered hotel Guests. Valet parking is not available at this time. Simply follow the signs directly to your destination—hotel Guest parking is not permitted at parking locations designated for the theme parks or the Downtown Disney District.
Rates For Hotel Guests

• Self-parking: $25 per night per vehicle
• Oversized vehicle parking: $30 per night per vehicle

Parking for Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and the Downtown Disney District is not permitted at hotel parking locations.
Daily Standard Rates:

• Self-parking – $25 per vehicle for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour, with a maximum rate of $65
• Oversized vehicle parking – $30 per vehicle for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour, with a maximum rate of $70

You can also call the GCH directly before your trip and reach an operator. That might be best bet to see if they can track down a current answer.

Update:

• Yes, street-level, self parking is still available across the street.
  The entrance appears to have cones in front of it ... but find a gap and drive through. The booth staff will wave you through to the standard lot.
• Yes, you can park before checking in.
• AND new-to-us, while valet remains closed: You may also self-park underground below the DVC wing or in the 2 rows in front of the check-in area that are normally reserved for valet.
  • Underground level 1 has 8'2" clearance. Enough for our tall vehicle ... but grab a space quickly as ...
  • Underground level 2 has only 7' clearance.
  • The elevator situation is a bit tricky as the underground parking was intended only for valet, thus "CM only areas." Guests cannot direct the elevators to their hotel floor but only to the Lobby where you must transfer to the normal guest elevators

Great info! I forgot about the area under the DVC wing. I thought it was service access.. not parking. That would be great if they kept it that way (doubt it).
