If we own 100 points from a resale contract from 15 years ago that was grandfathered in with the DVC Y discount, and we were to purchase add-on points from Disney (say 75 points) in our same UY but at a different resort, and then we were then to later sell our grandfathered 100 points, should I assume that we would lose DVC Y status?

That old contract is gold, & it loses its value if you sell it (i wish i had bought one that qualified years ago). I'd try to keep it at all costs, unless the dues are too high to be worth keeping. ;)

It’s true. We’ve got 1 (tiny direct) contract that qualifies us for DVC-Y status in that membership… then, I’ve got a resale contract (technically DVC-N) which allows us to book anywhere (old & new properties)… & both have all sorts of *never sell” notes attached to them in my files 😅. Golden indeed!! 🤩

Now that might drive up some of those pitiful sales, Poly and Riv for 150 for blue card but only 75 at CFW for blue card.

I think my only chance is if someone puts me in their will for a grandfathered contract. lol
