DVC owners and Florida residents

Hi Everyone: I'm sure this has been asked many times but I can't find the answer. If you own DVC can you then consider yourself a florida resident for discounts at WDW or other places? Thanks

No, DVC has specifically excluded owners from FL residency consideration in our contracts.

FL residency, as far as WDW is concerned, means you have to reside in FL (show them a drivers license, utility bill, etc.). Visiting a timeshare doesn't satisfy the Disney requirement. We don't even pay FL property taxes- we reimburse DVC for the taxes they pay on the property. (At least I have never received a tax statement from the county or state.)

If some other enterprise is willing to accept our DVC membership as prrof of FL residence, I'm not aware of it.
