DVC MNSSHP advance purchase ?

How far in advance is advance purchase? We are planning on the Oct. 2 party, but we have little, little ones, and can't risk a rainy night. Can we purchase the tickets from the BCV on Oct. 1 is it looks like the skies are clear? Would we call MS or could the concierge desk do it?

I believe you can generally buy the tickets the day of the party except for Halloween itself which sells out early.

I have bought them at the hotel desk in the past.

You don't get any discounts if you buy them the day of the party. I am planning on the same date and will watch the weather up to the day we leave and buy them online right before our departure. We'll use will-call as our pick-up option.

BTW, I called MS last week to try and find out the absolute latest I could buy the tickets and still get the DVC discount. The person I was talking to really didn't have a clue, so if anyone calls back and finds someone more knowledgeable...please post the details.

I called DVC last week to purchase MNSSHP tickets for October 24. I asked if I could get the DVC discount if I waited to purchase them at BCV a day or two prior to the party. The MS CM I spoke with said we could get the advance purchase discount if we bought them at the resort but the tickets with the DVC discount could only be purchased through MS. I went ahead and purchased ours and will pick them up at will call at Epcot's International Gateway once we get there.

I guess you could call MS from your hotel a day or two prior and purchase the MNSSHP tickets through them and pick them up at guest relations (will call) at one of the parks.

I bit the bullet last night and purchased my tickets online for the 10/02 MNSSHP. I got nervous because they were no longer offering tickets for the 9/28 & 9/29 dates and I was afraid I would check back in a few days and see the 10/02 date removed as well. Checked the weather first and it was looking great at this point. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it stays that way as we've attending parties in the past during heavy rain and it's pretty disappointing to have the special activities during the event cancelled one by one due to bad weather.
