Just returned from our first DVC Vacation at OKW. Loved it! Stayed in building 62 so the walk to the HH was short and the overall experience was great. I wanted to purchase some DVC Merchandise but the selection at OKW was a little limited so I was woundering if there is a place better like at the the World of Disney or is each DVC hotel store different? (88 days until our next trip!) Thanks

I don't think there is any DVC logo merchandise at WoD Store or in the parks. The best place to find DVC merchandise is at each DVC resort in the store. Most DVC resorts will have a variety of DVC merchandise and also some merchandise specific to that resort.

At one time, DVC did publish a catalog of logo merchandise which could be ordered by phone (this was in the early 90's - before the ability to order things online).

I still have a DVC catalog from 1993 and will scan and post it sometime. It is a nice trip down memory lane! At that time, there was only one DVC resort - The Disney Vacation Club Resort - and all merchandise was unique to the resort and also logo merchandise. Once the resort was renamed OKW, the status of the merchandise did change.

Presently most of the DVC merchandise is the same, but there may be some difference in what is available at each resort depending on how old the shelf stock might be. You should also ask if there is any DVC member-only merchandise available - this is usually kept behind the counter and is not on display.

What's kind of ironic, also, is that OKW has a reputation as having the most DVC merchandise. I've stayed at several different DVC resorts, and I agree. And what I think is too bad is that I haven't found any DVC resort-specific merchandise in years.

We just came back from AKV - Jambo last night. Talk about slim pickings! Nothing resort specific, and nothing that exciting with the DVC logo. There were a couple of new things that were not there in August, but nothing I really wanted.

We did see a nice DVC logo polar fleece pullover at Boardwalk Villas that they did not have at AKL.

My parents just came home from AKV and brought us all very nice stuff. The kids all got different AKV t-shirts and my husband got a super nice hoodie and a golf shirt, all for AKV. I don't know if that's what you were talking about or if you meant things for the home...

The DVC merchandise is one of my biggest complaints. I wish they would get some consistency. You can find one item at one resort, but then they don't have it for another.

All they had with the logo on it were t-shirts and my dh and dad were never able to get one b/c all they had in men's were small's the entire trip. I've also got a magnet for just about every DVC we've stayed at, gives me something to daydream about while I'm at work. No magnet for BLT or the Contemporary.

This past August when I was at the Contemporary the Fantasia Market was selling the Bay Lake Tower shirt and had many sizes available, so I guess it depends on the time of year and when they get a new supply in. I also remember seeing other small DVC logo items being sold there. Finally when we went to visit the BoardWalk their main clothing store had no DVC logo merchandice for sale.

DVC merchandise is currently available in the small gift shop inside the BoardWalk resort adjacent to the check-in desk.

Oh I must have never seen this store and is that where they have regular BoardWalk merchandise, because that's something else I did not see in the main store.

They had DVC and Boardwalk merchandise there when we were there in June. Another place that they were running low on shirts.

I don't remember seeing any DVC merchandise at AKV when we were there in October and it was the same at HHI when we were there last year. My son collects key chains and my daughter collects magnets and we haven't been able to find any for either resort. I collect pins and it was the same thing, nothing specific to either resort and really not much DVC merchandise at all. Ironically, the cast member at HHI told us that we should look at WDW for HHI items.

I guess I should be grateful that Disney is saving me money, but I'm really disappointed in how generic all the merchandise is becoming. On our last trip, we didn't even bother looking at t-shirts or sweatshirts -- I don't think I've bought any new ones on our last three trips.

I asked and was told the T-shirts were originally going to be a single limited time run, but due to demand they are looking at reordering so that there might be more coming in sometime mid or late December. I'll be back at the end of January so i hope there is some then, and I may even try to mail order from Disney in between...

The best selection of DVC merchandise I saw was at SSR. I hope this trend will be reversed and more resort specific items (both DVC and Disney) will be released in the future!

1) Disney only buys things that sell.
2) DVC merchandise does not sell well.
3) People that go every year do not make major repeat purchases.
4) Sorry, but just a fact.

NOTE: Disney has facts, figures, and computer models for everything. If they thought DVC merchandise would sell well, you bet it would be on the shelves. Examples: How many years in a row would you buy a DVC sweatshirt, and how many years in a row would you buy a DVC T-Shirt? Now, what about all the other memebrs?

In July, the gift shop at Kidani had HHI pins on the rack.
