DVC MERCHANDISE - please advise

Please advise me. We have been DVC members for almost two years and I'm really having a hard time fnding DVC merchandise. We got the bag when we joined and have two shirts we got at Boardwalk (our home), but what else is there? People have told me that OKW has a lot more in their shops. Does anyone know what they have specifically? A co-worker of mine is going in a few weeks to OKW and he said he'd get me some stuff, but I don't know what they have.

please look at my thread on this subject... It is on page three. Question: What do you think? DVC merchandise.
We had 22 reponses, all of them state that we need more and better DVC merchandise!!!
We have 55,000 members and very little and low quality items to choose from. You would think that Disney would figure out, that we bought a piece of Disney, we would like some merchandise to show off!

I am sorry to say that you are not missing anything over at BW. Our home resort is OKW and ther is nothing more in the line of DVC merchindise at OKW then there is at BWV! This has been the biggest complaint of mine since we became members in 96. I guess they just don't get it! If they would make DVC merchindise available to members we will buy it! I would love to have a different color golf shirt with a DVC member logo to wear every day of my vacation! I have 1 white golf shirt with the logo that cost me $65.00! The only other shirt with the logo is too ulgy even for me to wear. It seems to me a compleate line of wearables would be a great and inexpensive form of advertisement!!!!!!!

There is limited merchandise available at OKW. As of New Year's it included:
Mens bathing suits, bathrobes, OKW plastic tumblers (with floating stars and Mickeys) / Boardwalk has red ones, golf shirts, jackets, license plates and members only pins. All merchandise is purchasable by calling the OKW main number, then be transferred to the General Store, ask the clerk what type of merchandise is avail and finally get transferred to WDW phone merchandise, who will charge you store prices and $ 8.50 shipping. Good luck.

I was at OKW in April and bought my DH a hat (baseball cap style). They were either royal blue or purple as were the t shirts and polo shirts. All had the DVC logo and had Old Key West Resort written on them. DH loves the hat and it was only $18. Not bad for resort merchandise.

We just purchased DVC in June and went on our first trip to OKW in December. I was very dissappointed at the amount and quality of merchandise. The polo shirts which were white were very thin and flimsy. Other than that they had robes and shorts and that was about it. When we went and saw our salesperson at BW we complained to him that there was not enough merchandise and that we thought that they were missing the boat mostly because of the free advertising when we went home. We would not have bought more than likely had another member not walked into the bank where I worked and started talking to me about DVC. I noticed her membership card when she was depositing money.

DVC and WDW need to come up with some better merchandise.

Gee, wouldn't it be nice if they put a page on their website for member merchandise? What an idea!! Then we wouldn't have to wait to go to Disney World to get our merchandise!

I agree the merchandise choice is quite slim. We were there in January and I purchased identical white golf shirts for dh and myself. I would love to see kids stuff included in their inventory as well. But I won't hold my breath.

hi: i popped over to okw on 5/3 to see if there was any additional merchandise not at the bw, but there wasn't. a very nice cm said that she thought the people in mgm would embroider "member" on any of the dvc merchandise for a nominal fee, but we should check. i did check at mgm and they said they were prohibited from doing that due to the copyright laws. so, i guess we're all stuck waiting.

We got MEMBER put on our shirts in 1999 at the shop in MGM.
