DVC merchandise? (hats, t-shirts, etc.)

Okay. We got the "$16,000 tote bag" in our big blue box from DVC when we joined. Is other DVC merchandise available for purchase somewhere? I don't see anything like that on the members' site. DH would really like a cap, for instance. Maybe a nice polo shirt.

Polo shirts are sometimes available at the resorts, but they come and go and the style/colors change often. They do usually stock DVC caps.

Spoke to a cast member this week about the lack of DVC merchandise and there is a ton of new stuff coming around June 1st. There were logo issues and it's been re-ordered. Hope this helps - we were looking for items as we are new members too!

At the Premier outlet last week they had a hat and t-shirt bundle (I think it was $16.00) and a tote bag.

OKW also had some nice shirts and travel mugs.

This is one area that DVC is really falling down. They could make a fortune off of DVC merchandise. They just need more of it and other ways to purchase it. If they had an on-line store on the member website, I bet it would make a bundle. I know I couldn't resist. We already have the polos, jackets, mugs, ornament, etc that they currently have in the resort stores. But I want more!

Different resorts stock different things. I try to make a point to pop into the gift shop at each DVC resort when I'm in the nabe, just to see what they have. The Board Walk and Old Key West usually have a decent selection.

Though I have to agree: the pickings are usually slim.

This is true. We stayed at SSR, but visited OKW, BWV, and BCV just to see what else they have. We were looking for new jackets. But they didn't even have the old ones any more. They just had some hoodie type sweatshirts. Glad to here they are coming out with new stuff. Unfortunately we won't be back until May 2009.

Really. Go there and search "DVC" or "Disney Vacation Club" and you'll be astounded at what you may find.

Was at SSR in March and went to stores at OKW, SSR, VWL and BWV. OKW and SSR had the most.

However, a manager at one of the resorts told me an interesting tid-bit, which has, of course, already been reported here. He said that the DVC logo is changing, and they'll have new merchadise in early June. He said if I could wait, there will be a lot of new merchandise. Then, almost like with KTV, he smiled at me and said, "I probably said too much." Since we're going again in August, I decided to wait.

Per the OP above, I bet the merchandise that came in had the old logo on it instead of the new one!!! I'm looking forward to seeing it. Wonder if it may be tied to the new KTV announcement??? They may launch both at the same time.

This is my one constant.... I get a new baseball cap everytime I stay at DVC... Gotta pay for it though.
