Was it my imagination or did I scroll through someone's comments stating that DVC owners simply need to flash their room key and its considered a Fastpass ticket???

For this fence-sitter on whether to jump into DVC, this perk would immediately get me jumping!!!

Having returned from WDW last week, I know there's nothing quite like by-passing a 90 minute Splash Mountain line with Fastpass...to be able to do this on an unlimited basis would make me delirious!!!!

Eagerly awaiting comments and hoping that this is true!!!

It must have been wishful thinking, as it's not true.

When we went 3 years ago(and stayed at OKW), we could get fast passes with our room keys and with our hopper tickets.

But when we went two years ago (stayed at ASM) the room keys did not work.

We figured that Disney figured out this double your fast pass loop hole and closed it. But now that you mention it, maybe it was because they were OKW keys...............

Wow that would be a terrific perk (but I would bet heavily never going to happen).

You may see people using their room keys, they have Ultimate Park Hoppers (or whatever the phrase of the day is) on their room package, so their key is their ticket,

Sorry

When we went to Disneyland in April, and one of the perks of our package was unlimited fast passes, it was wonderful.

You couldn't get more than 1 fastpass at a time for a single ride, but we were able to go around in the morning and get passes for all of the big rides.

It would be a great DVC perk.

What am I missing here? ANYONE with a ticket can get a fastpass. The only restriction is no more than one at a time. Are you saying, it would give you multiple FP's?

An unlimited fastpass would mean you could hold multiple fastpasses at the same time as long as they were for different rides.

I think what you scrolled through was the thread talking about what people do on the weekends. Several of us mention that we switch over to Universal Hotels so that we don't use of the huge number of points required for a weekend stay, and that guests at Universal Hotels get FOTL access at US/IOA by flashing their room keys.

Sorry! I wish DVC did this, but I don't see it happening.

When fastpass first came out, you could get one with your annual pass and one with your room key. You could also use someone's ticket who was not in the park that day. They did not intend for them to be used that way, it was a loophole in the system. Now it crosschecks the ticket with the turnstiles in the front, you have to have used that ticket to get in that day to get a fastpass.

When we bought into DVC this past August it was a very busy day. :crowded: After we signed our papers we waited around 45 minutes for the closer to get there. We didn't mind the wait because we were so excited but our guide came back with 4 DVC fast pass cards for us because if it!

What they did was each card was good for 2 immediate FP at the machines when FP were available. The cards did expire 48 hours after they were first issued. Talk about getting spoiled!princess: It was so much fun to waltz up to Test Track, get a FP and walk right on! We also used them for the mountains over at the MK the next day.

So for one brief but bright shinning moment we felt what an express/unlimited FP would feel like- and it was good.....REAL good.

DH was given a similar FP at Mission Space in August, because it broke down just as he was in the capsule. It was for anytime for the next 48 hours and was not tied to other fast passes.

When I got my AP activated last year, there was a problem with the printer at MK Guest Relations at the front of the park. I had to wait about 15 minutes while they fixed it. The cm gave me 3 instant fastpasses for 2. It was really great because it was a Saturday night and everything had long lines.

I'm new, Can someone explain the exact logistics of a fastpass? Do these come with AP's?

Palm Tree girl! I can top that!

Our friends listenend to the schpeel and got those cards. But they only got to use them their last day. Well that night we all met up for a fireworks cruise and she gave them to us to try to use the second day, since we were styaing longer.

They are good for two rides PER PARK! We used them on two rides at AK. Then we hopped over to MGM and used them and then ran over to MK to hit BTTR and Peter Pan, which we had missed earlier in the week! HA HAAAAA!

The coolest was walking up to Peter Pan at 7:30 pm when they were dishing out passes for 11:30 and walking right on!

When the fastpass system was first introduced, you could get multiple fastpasses as long as you had multiple ticket media (this included new tickets, old tickets, room keys... even universal tickets.) Even if they were used or not even used that day. Of course this glitch has been fixed, and only valid ticket that were used in that specific park that day will work in FastPass machines.
