Looks like that is the "Minnesota" way of doing it, Shawn!:p

We have been AP holders since the free passes went away at the end of 1999 - we travel down 2-3 times a year and find it to come in handy - would luv to see DVCers tho.

If Disney only thinks 13% of DVC members have AP's, why would someone create a poll (and much less vote "always") that would convince them its a much higher percentage and therefore there is no need to offer an AP discount-which they may have been kicking around. If everyone votes they "ALWAYS" get an AP, Disney should INCREASE the cost of DVC AP's because there is the demand for them. HELLO!

Have been getting them every year for a long, long time. I am a charter.

I voted the same as several others, always, since it is the only pass I have bought for WDW since 1995. I have only been a DVC member since Sept 2003 but expect to continue basically the same pattern of travelling to WDW as I have been doing to fully maximize my pass. Each pass I usually get 3 or more trips out of and then take almost a year off and start the cycle all over again. Having an PAP has changed the nature of our trips dramatically....much more relaxed since you can hop over to a park, ride 1 or 2 rides and then shop a bit and maybe have a quick lunch and not feel like you have wasted a "day" on a pass. I think it is in Disney's interest to encourage as many DVCer's as possible to buy an AP or PAP by offering a discount since it is very hard to buy any other kind of pass once you have one and are really able to savor the parks at your leisure. And there is always the lure of sneaking in another quick trip becase that AP room discount is just unbelieveable!!!

No real category for me, so I voted every year, though we get them every other year. Usually we plan out our first trip with the PAP, then anticipate the next years vacation two weeks before the PAP expires. Usually we get at least one other trip in between, but it is more casual and for only about 5-7 days. We purchased our last set of PAP's July 2002 and went for two weeks over July 4th, 10 days at Easter, 3 days over Memorial day weekend and 6 days at the end of June/beginning of July. We will purchase new PAP's for July 2004--Vacation planned for 2 weeks July 16-31, then either October for MNSSHP or December for MVMCP finally 2 weeks in June/July prior to expiration. Then we will take a "year" off and go again in the middle of July.:jester:

Wow! Am I missing the boat or something?

We have always gotten Park Hopper passes, the ones that do not expire. Ohter times we have gotten discounted passes for one reason or another, like after 9/11(DH is in the FDNY so they offered free and discounted lenght of stay passes). I have also gotten LOS passes, but the CM was able to "manipulate" the dates in order for us to maximaize the days.

We usually go once a year-maybe twice, but not as a rule.

We don't go the parks EVERY day and I don't know that I would want to. We find so much to do DISNEY around the world-not going to the parks. As the children get older I do see us wanting more access to places like DisneyQuest or Blizzrd Beach, (which I think are included with the AP).

A Charter AP holder has purchased them annually since they were first offered. There is a discount offered for their loyalty.

Only those who purchased an AP when they were first sold can be a Charter AP holder.

Perhaps drusba remembers the year AP's began?

We usually do PH since we don't go in the parks every day. That's easier to do at VWL than at BWV since it's so tempting to just jump in to EPCOT or MGM for a short while. But the annual pass just hasn't been a good deal for us yet.

I didn't vote. I don't know what we will do in 2006. I just bought APs with my Disney Club Card discount for our 2004 May trip. This is the last time I will be getting a discount on them because the Club is going bye-bye. We will have them activated in May and use them also in 2005 before they run out. Then in 2006 we will see what is in store for us discount wise. We always did 2 years 1 AP.
