DVC member shuttle/van/transportation?

we were at VGC back in September. while waiting for the DL resort express bus to bring us to SNA, I saw a van with DVC logo/décor on it pull into the shuttle/van area. the driver came out, opened up the doors, and 2 older folks came out...one of them had the blue DVC member bag. is this a service available to members? like maybe transportation to/from the airport to VGC?
or was that just a van 'advertising' DVC? has anyone else seen this van around DL?...or even at WDW?

Sounds like a van that takes people to/from a DVC sales presentation. You see them all the time at WDW.

I don't know about DL but at WDW they are only for meetings with your guide or, as mentioned, sales presentations. I would think it would be similar at DL.

if you buy direct you get a tote bag -- even if you buy over the phone. Hell, I did resale originally and then 25 points direct over the phone and still got a tote bag.

Truer words were never spoken! I did not receive one when I purchased direct. Last December I was down with my BFF and my brother and SIL. Both of them bought in, from the same guide, so I asked the guide if I could have a bag since I steered them both her way. I got one!

lol... just got one beginning of the month.... definitely changed from what my parents got when they first got DVC! seen a few people at the airport too when I was leaving that were just arriving that were carrying them!

It is large enough to hold all of my official documents (POS, deeds, contracts etc) received at time of purchase for my three purchases from Disney and all documents I received for three resale purchases, and all the annual budget pamphlets I have received over the last 20 years, i.e., that is the use I found for one.

You have been around here quite a while so I'm guessing you got the beigy white grocery bag style that the rest of us earlier purchasers got!

My claim to fame for Tote bags is when they were selling at Hilton Head I attended one of the weekly sales presentations where they had coffee snacks and games and I won a Hilton Head DVC beach bag tote. I've carried that thing almost to its demise. I also got a Hilton Head DVC umbrella - much needed there in March! The old DVC welcome homes were wonderful for getting stuff, and they definitely sold me 4 times over!

Personally I always went for the free AP's or the developers points plus discounts off price per point. Just redeemed one of those AP'S a couple weeks ago and get 13 months to boot.
