In 14 days I am going "Home".....during our stay there my MIL will be showing up and staying 3 nights in a studio we used our points to rent for her and her DH. Now my question is, I know that a person renting points doesn't have rights to DVC Member Privileges, but since she is a guest of ours, but staying in her own room can she use any of the privileges?

TIA

Since they are your guests and staying there the same time you are then they are entitled to privileges. However when they get their room keys, make sure it says DVC member on them since they are your points and you are there.

That way, if they ever check ID's for anything (pool hopping etc), they have the correct cards. Of course if they were with you at the same time, then it would only be necessary for you to show your card.

All this applies only if someone asks for I.D., which is quite rare, occuring mostly at places like the most popular pools and only at the most crowded times.

The only 2 priviledges I can think of that guests aren't technically supposed to get are the 25% cash discount and the UMP. DVC has routinely extended the discount of the UMP though to guests and even renters in most cases.
