Although we are DVC members--we still eat in the parks. Usually we eat breakfast in the room and then buy a snack during the day. For our evening meal, we usually eat at a nice sit down restaurant. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to use some of the new packages for dining. We are talking about my husband, 9 year old daughter, and myself. We are also premum annual passholders so the packages for admission/dining are not appropriate.

We are leaving on Friday night (3/11) so any quick info would be appreciated.

Actually the meal plans that go with the tickets are not available to us DVCers. However, if I were you, I would check into the DDE card. Since you are an AP holder, you can purchase it for $50 and get savings off almost ALL sit down restaurants at the parks and resorts, etc. (20% savings) It includes alcohol (if that applies to you) and you make up the cost at $250 spent which doesn't take my family long.

There is of course the discount you already have. 10% on lots of things simply from being a DVC member and/or a PAP holder.

We opted for DDE since its a bigger discount. It is good for a year from when you order it and they will fax you a conformation, so you can order it a day or two before travel if you would like. (disney dining - option 3)

Have fun!

Do you have a link to it? I am up to my eyeballs grading papers and packing this week. Any ease in finding the DDE card would be GREAT !

Right now, it looks like we will be having dinner at Liberty Tree, somewhere in Downtown Disney before Cirque performance, Wide World of Sports for a ballgame on Wed. night, Mama Melrose's one night.

The card has a one year expiration and is $50 for each adult or does one card work for the entire family? I wonder if purchasing it for my 9 year old would be wise since the kids meals are cheap anyway?

Thanks

You only need to purchase 1 card. It is good for up to 10 people (including the cardholder) and the name on the card has to be someone 21 or older because the discount is good for alcohol also.

DDE card will work for up to 10 people in your party--20% off. You don't need separate cards, and there is no child or adult distinction.

Does anyone know where I can find the link for DDE? I just did a quick look at the WDW site and can't find it. THANKS!

Is the card good for counter service or is it just limited to table service?

Thanks

It is not good for counter service unless the park or resort doesn't have those kinds of restaurants. So at the deluxe resorts and MK, Epcot and MGM...no counter service. POR...no, POFQ....you can use it at the food court.

Animal Kingdom counter services also honor the DDE.
