DVC Member Perks - Baseball Bat

I know that I read in the Disney Files Magazines, that there was a Member Perk for personalized baseball bat but all of the the other details on this perk and fuzzy in my memory.

Can anyone help fill in the blanks for me.

I can't seem to put my hands on my Disney Files magazine, but I think that it was availabe at a store in Downtown Disney. I believe at the time (march or april) there was a discount available. Not much help, huh

I believe that the store you are talking about is right next to/connected to the guest service location in DTD.

In the Spring 2010 Disney Files, on page 11, you get $10 off the $49.99 (plus tax) for a bat that has your own signature engraved the the barrel of your Rawlings bat. Location: DTD Marketplace, Team Mickey, Rawlings Making the Game. Also you can ask to see the secret book of Disney Vacation Club logos and you can emblazon your bat with your favorite DVC resort's logo, plus add a line , Member since 9999.

It sounds like a pretty good Father's Day gift for the sport fan.

We purchased one on our last trip.
The member perk is for a standard hat, however they also have a number of other options. We chose the ash bat, you can choose your favorite players specs.

Oh ok, I think my DH will enjoy having a bat made for him. We have a Louisville Slugger bat so this would be a Rawlings bat for him. He already has a Team Mickey Jersey.

in 4 days my DH will get his bat! We should have got it last October when we went, but we ran our of time and never made it to DTD, this year, we are making a point of going.

Hopefully I will have pictures to post when we get back!
