Dvc member number...

We have 2014 points that have been banked, so we aren't in fear of losing them. However, we want to take vacation at the beginning of summer! We have dining booked already...really hoping we will get lucky and be able to book a room on short notice. Our home resort is AKV, but we would be happy anywhere as long as we get to go. If everything works out for both of us, we really may end up there at the same time!

Closed 4/8, called today (4/20) and obtained member number and club ID (never heard of the latter, but was given it by the CM). Points not yet uploaded, though, per the CM. Unable to log onto DVCmember.com as I apparently need a one-time activation code, and for that I must wait on written confirmation from Disney. (Bought resale.)

So, does anyone have any ideas how long this next wait is to be??

Opt 1 for MS, then last one in the next menu (I believe Opt 6). I got my codes that way. Good luck!

Thank you for the info on MS phone numbers. I tried Opt 6 and got an exceedingly pleasant gentleman to help me, but unfortunately they were unable to come up with a one-time code this evening. He suggested I call back tomorrow.

Alright, I have finally been able to open my DVCmember.com account with the help of MS. Thanks to everyone for the help on this thread! Now... I just have to wait for the points to be loaded. Sigh.

I tried that. They wouldn't let me in. Said I HAD to wait on the letter. Yesterday was a mail holiday in MA.

You either didn't talk to the right department, or you got someone who saw that your points were loaded, so they didn't want to cause confusion by letting you into your account.

Yay! I called back & tried #6 again & got right through! 1 night at AKL Kidani 1 bedroom Standard view & 4 nights at BLT 2 bedroom Standard View!!! Wahoo!

Yes, 12 days after we showed up on OC Comptroller I was able to get our member number .... then I called again I told them I need help w my login. They gave me a club I'd and password ...took another 24 hours for points to load. Then was able to snag 8 nights at Saratoga springs 4.5 weeks out. Good luck

One your deed has been posted to the Orange County website (after you close), it takes between 12 and 14 business days for Disney to be able to issue you your member number.

12 days is a rule of thumb. After you close on the contract, the paperwork gets sent to Disney and they have to create your account in the DVC system. Then they have to move the points from the old account to the new one. This process seems to take about 12 days after closing. Generally speaking, at that time, you can call in and get your member number. Alternatively, you can wait for them to mail you the information.
