DVC member going to DL are there any perks?

Hi

I am a new member and this is my first trip since I have been a member. We are going to DL at the end of this month and I wondered if they have any perks of discounts at DL?

I don't have a PIN number for the website and can't find anything in my paperwork so... I knew you guys would know!

If you are staying on-site, in one of the DL hotels, then as a DVC member you can get a number of discounts, mostly at restaurants.

Unless they've changed it since we were there last year, you have to show both your DVC blue membership card, AND your Disney hotel key, to get the discount.

Stop by one of the DVC kiosks or possibly the front desk when you check-in and get the Member's Perks book. It looks just like the one you get when you check-in at one of the WDW DVC resorts.

I did not get a number to be able to login to DVCMEMBER.com either. I called member services and gave them so personal info and they gave me a login number over the phone.

Since when is a resort stay required to be eligible for the perks? I stayed off property in Anaheim last year and was able to get the the booklet.

Same thing here, we were just there on March 6th, and I thought I would check by a DVC kiosk to see if there were any discounts at restaurants etc. I found out that EVERY restaurant at Disneyland offers the 10% discount for DVC members. We only had to show our blue card. We did have some issues at Orleans Cafe with them knowing about the discount though.

IN the old portable perks book it stated you needed to show the blue card and hotel card. However, in the DisneyFiles magazine it didn't mention this, so maybe they've changed the requirements? Would you be able to look in the fine print of your Portable Perks and let us know if this is still listed? I'm going in May and would like to know what all I need to do for the discounts..also, I thought that it was mentioned before that you needed to have a credit card put down for room charges to get the discount? I don't really like to do this and probably won't unless I need to to get the discounts.
