Just got an e-mail from DVC:
Attend an Advance Screening of Cinderella at Walt Disney World Resort
Good for this Sat at 3:00 PM.

Gee.. if it included airfare to get there, I'm in! I'd be glad to get away from this snowstorm that's supposed to hit.

Lucky you! Would love to be there and be included!

When I got the email 38mims after it was sent, they are saying full to capacity. I find that very hard to believe. Big Hero 6 was available for longer than that.

This is cool- Do they do this often? I am currently waiting for my resale contract to go through and want our first trip to be in June- I think the new Pixar one comes out June 19....

The have started to do it with pretty much every new release. We have seen planes fire and rescue, no good horrible day, big hero 6 and I thought there was one other too....

Which makes me a brat for pouting about not getting into Cinderella but it has just been that kind of 'just missed it' week, sigh.

By 1:15 it was 75% full so not surprised it was full soon afterwards. Our 2 DDs are so thrilled we got in. Missed Big Hero 6 because it filled up fairly quickly too. Question for those of you who have gone to one of these before: what's the deal with cell phones? I thought I'd read somewhere they have a "phone" check or lockers. Is that so or should we leave them in the car? Hate leaving them in the car because of risk of theft not to mention the heat.

Wow! what do you have to do to get an invite? I've never gotten any emails like this before. Maybe they are trying to tell me I don't have enough points to be in the movie club.:rolleyes1

From what I am aware you either have to live locally or have a booked room for during that time period. But really who knows.

The cell phone check is a ziploc bag with a number in it. Kind of like coat check and they sit out there with all of them the whole time so your stuff is safe.

Wonder if they will be giving away the Cinderella popcorn buckets. :scratchin

We attended the West Coast screening in Anaheim today and only got tickets for a FREE bag of popcorn plus soda per guests!
The FREE gift was JUST a Fridge frame Cinderella Magnet per guest.... nothing to jump for joy over!
LOVED the movie as it KINDA kept as close as it could to the animated version which made me (hard core fan of that version) HAPPY!!!

I have been to two different DVC premier screenings now. You have to log in as soon as the Email gets sent out due to the fact it fills up quite fast. Missed Big Hero six premier due to not responding fast enough. Disney it a Home Run with Cinderalla. My two kids and Wife loved the movie. I love being a DVC member and this is one of the many benefits of owning.

Did the free viewing include the Frozen mini-movie?
DW and I scheduled our reservation to attend but DW got sick and we had to leave leave SSR early Sat morning.

We got pumpkin seeds too.

DD11 and I showed up early to see of there were any no shows and it was SOOOOO packed that I was about to give up hope and so DD walked the line waiting to get in, asking if anyone had 2 spare tickets. Only took her about 2 mins and she found someone! She is about the least shy person I have ever met! LOL
I wish I had gotten the lady's name, maybe she is here on DIS? But I was so thankful for her!! My DD hasnt stopped talking about the movie all weekend.

Do we know if all in attendance are DVC members or could others also be invited. Maybe that's why it gets booked so fast.

Each showing is a separate group. So yes only DVC and their guests. For Cinderella, the Disney Parks Blog had a showing in the AM, that's who was letting out when we showed up to see if we could start the waitlist for the DVC showing. They got posters in their 'goody' bags which DVC didnt get.

My wife attended the d23 preview, no popcorn or soda. I went to the DVC member preview, so my daughter got to see it twice, and we received the popcorn and soda tickets.

Movie was very well done.
