dvc member early booking reminder??

OK, so I logged into my account today to see when i can make my reservation. I use the early booking reminder on the right side of the home page to give myself a rough idea but it seems to be backwards?


You can start requesting up-to-7-night reservations starting on or before:
Home Resort
Arrival Date: Dec. 17, 2012
All Other Disney Vacation Club Resorts
Arrival Date: Aug. 17, 2012

Surely this should be the other way around?

anyone else have this problem?

december is 11 months away = home resort only

august is 7 months away = any DVC resort with availability

this is saying that i can book my home resort AFTER all others?

August is before December.

the other resorts from 7 months away is right but the home resort should be 4 months earlier

Ive really confused myself with this LOL.. am I just reading it totally wrong?

i'm afraid so.

you can book your home resort for december right now.

other owners can only book your home resort through august right now. for december bookings, they would have to wait.

Well, I always thought it was worded oddly. It is speaking to the date of the reservation, not the date you make the reservation. It is calculated assuming you are making those reservations today.
