DVC member cruise question

Hello All,
I have a question, I just got off the phone in an attempt to book the member cruise. I was going to use half of points and half cash, YES I know really bad idea and YES I know renting points is better and getting the cash to pay. WELL, after speaking to member services, they informed me that my one contact that is resale isnt eligible to be used and only my direct contact is. The funny thing is I was able to use both last year when we booked for the DVC member cruise in OCT 2019. Has something change? Did I miss an email or has this always been the case and we got lucky in the OCT DVC member cruise?

Might have been a mistake somewhere, but resale points are not eligible for Disney Collection, including cruises.

I think you got lucky if they allowed you to use some of your resale points if they were purchased after 2011...which I believe is when this restriction went to in effect...
