DVC member / cash rates / perks?

Hi

We are DVC members (without enough points ) and I am looking to book a cash rate through www.waltdisneyworld.co.uk - the rates are unbelievable at the moment.

Do I get free internet access being a DVC member or is it just when booking through points.

I believe that you get free Internet access only by staying on points, even if you are already a DVC member. Have fun planning your trip!!

Are you adding additional cash nights to make up for not having enough points, or this an entirely-cash trip?

I know Member Services can link points+cash reservations made through DVC so you don't have to change rooms, and to link the dining plan. Whether or not the free internet transfers with this is a good question. Others can share personal experience, but I'd think it probably would.

If you're booking through the Walt Disney Travel Company, though, I'm certain you won't get free internet. It will appear in the system as a non-DVC booking, and therefore wouldn't be eligible. Whether you could sweet talk a cast member into taking it off your bill by showing them your membership card would be hit or miss.

Does the web site you're looking at give you a discounted room rate? If not, I'd book through Member Services. Also, the 25% DVC room discount can only be booked through MS. There is limited availability for these discounted rooms, but it's a great discount when it works out.
