DVC meeting/summer party

We are going to Disney the end of July. There was a member party last time we went in the summer. Is there any DVC member meetings or parties going on this summer?

No summer party, but they are still doing the Welcome Home Wednesday's

What specifically do they do for Welcome Home Wednesdays? Is it worth the commute from SSR to the BoardWalk to attend?

When we went last year, they gave everyone baseball caps, some people won prizes during a game show type program. They had lemonade and some snacks (can't remember what they were, probably popcorn).

If you aren't going to the parks that day, and have never been to it, I think it is fine to go to. I wouldn't change plans or leave the parks for it.
