DVC Mailer Guided Phone Tour

We are not DVC Members, however, we have rented points for a small trip next January. In today's mail I received a nice pamphlet with another DVC attempt at getting us to purchase. They are offering a $25 Disney Gift Card if you complete a "guided phone tour" about purchasing DVC by December.

Has anyone completed this phone tour? How's the pressure involved? Thinking it might be worth it. Thanks folks. Happy almost Friday!

If you feel any pressure, hang up! Remember the sales people are highly trained to get you to buy, they know what you are thinking, what to say, and before you know it, you just paid thousands more buying direct.

Disney doesn't really do pressure. But if you happen to get a "guide" who does try to pressure you, like poster above says, hang up.
I was at WDW in January and took a sales tour for the new Polynesian. They gave a little presentation in an auditorium, showed us model rooms, brought us to another room for food, distributed sales/points material to those who asked, and then led us to the ice cream parlor. That was it. Zero pressure.

I did the phone tour last year and it was really good, easy, and laid back. I actually enjoyed it and easily exceeded the amount of time that they required in order to receive the gift card (that was because of my questions). I had already done a lot of research before, so they skipped some of the tour that I was already aware of. But like pp's have said, you could always hang up.

I received this mailer too and plan to do it. My mom would like to as well - is there any way to refer her (she's more likely to purchase than I am since they're leaning toward purchasing APs this year$.
