DVC MagicBand

I just looked at my 3 reservations in June and even though I have one in my BIL name (non dvc member) his reservation says DVC Member on entitlement level also? Strange maybe is for discounts, FP or the ability to reserve some of the new dining options for members? Not sure. Thanks for the heads up though you guys are always on top of it!
:cool1:

I just looked at my MB customization pages.

5/31 - cash reservation - no DVC designation
6/1 - DVC points reservation - DVC designation
12/22 - cash reservation - no DVC designation

In my case, it appears it's the point reservation that matters.

I will have to pick my favorite color for that reservation!

Has anybody actually received bands with this designator and seen if there actually is a wrap-band for DVC like our AP wraps? My "entitlement" to DVC is showing up for my July reservation so I'm just wondering if it's really even worth ordering them. Unfortunately, I don't see a way to order the ones for our guests without getting a new set for us also.

Heck, I forgot to get my new set for my trip last week!

Oh well. At least I'll have one in every color. :thumbsup2

I'm starting to get quite a collection of MBs. It's kind of getting ridiculous. :lmao:

I was there last week and apparently some people have to BUY them as they were actually for sale at about every outlet on-property. LOL

All of our reservations are on points and I don't have an "entitlement" to DVC on any of the three. We have the AP wrap thingies and a DVC one would be nice too. We, too, have every color available but only use one set. The others are stored away for if/when we lose/damage our current ones.

I have a set being customized now and should ship shortly. The order showed the DVC 'entitlement', so we'll see when they arrive.

I just came on here looking for information about these slides--got our magic bands today for a mid-may trip and have "Disney Vacation Club Member" slides that are just like the AP Holder ones. There is nothing in the box describing what using these slides will do/not do for the wearer though. We are not even DVC members, but traded in through RCI.

I just received our 4 sets of MB's for our DVC trip in 3 weeks. No wraps, no slides - nothing except ordinary MB's.

No disrespect to you but what a screw-up. There is no way you should have recieved these on an RCI trade-in.

Look in the bottom of your box. There are probably cards in there that you can use for DVC entitlements also. Though you shouldn't have gotten either one, I'd really like to know if the cards are in the box as well. The sliders are simply decorations for the bands. The CARDS are for the "entitlements" not qualified on the MB database.

Technically, just so you know, the cards are not supposed to be valid without a valid DVC Member card, but you never know. Stranger things have been done.

More tuning to do.

I have had to show my DVC membership card every time I asked for the DVC discount. I have also been asked for ID at the same time.

Just received my bands today for a May trip, second week in May but no sliders??? Hmmm....
What do they look like? Is this something I could call and request or maybe ask for when I get there? I am seeing that they have DVC entitlement on my September bands, when I go in to customize them, so I am guessing I will get the sliders with those.

Oh don't worry, none taken. I would have omitted that part if I thought anyone would be intentionally rude to me about it! :) I know they shouldn't have given us the sliders. There are no cards in the box, nothing else beyond the bands and the sliders. I wonder if things get coded differently sometimes on exchanges--our last trip we stayed at BLT and at check in the cm said our card gave us access to the Top of the World (which we did not use).

I received MB's last week. I wrote member services regarding DVC slider. This is their response:

"We appreciate your interest in your upcoming stay at DISNEY'S ANIMAL
KINGDOM Villas – Kidani Village. Apparently some shipments were
inadvertently missed. We have left a comment on your reservation asking
the resort to provide your sliders upon check-in." :thumbsup2

Ours have 5 days left and they don't say anything about DVC entitlements.

I do have a question - how long does it take for them to arrive after the last customizing date? I am asking because we are driving and will be leaving home several days before we check in to WDW

Once the box ships there is a USPS tracking number provided in the magic band area of MDE. I think an email is sent with the tracking info as well. For the box I received yesterday, It only took 3 days for one box to arrive, the other box will arrive tomorrow and was shipped 3 days ago. We arrive on May 19.

On April 19th my magic bands were mark DVC Experience level and I posted here about it. Our trip is June 7th for my BIL to June 14 and June 8th for my family to the 14th. Its a split stay and 3 sets of magic bands are ordered and customized. I received an email requesting I verify the bands and shipping addresses 3 days ago so they can pack and ship them even though the web site says it isn't till May 8th that we need to make final selections. I went on today and the DVC member experience level is gone. Now I already emailed my BIL to be on the look out for the bands and I am confused? Do we get the sliders? Did they remove the option of sliders ? Do they ship prior to the date on the website? Its a very confusing system and takes some of the magic out of planning when you feel like you don't know what's going on. Anyone else get an early email to confirm bands and shipping address? Thanks:confused3

We arrive May 10th. Do you think I could call MS to get a set at check in?

Can someone post a screen shot of what the DVC designation looks like on the Magic Band customization page? I don't see it!
