DVC & Magical Express Yellow Tags

Hi all!

Our 1st trip as DVC members is fast approaching! I've only ever booked packages (usually through MEI) before. I've always gotten the plastic luggage tags, yellow ME tags and other documentation through the agent about 3 weeks before travel.

How does this work with a DVC reservation? I went to the member site and booked ME for our flights. Can anyone advise how/when we will get any of the above items?

Also, we are flying SWA (the last bastion of free checked luggage) We are 3 adults and a 1-year-old, but we bought him his own seat and hope to take advantage of his luggage allowance. Since Disney (DVC) only recognizes him as an infant, will we get 2 yellow ME tags for him? Actually, do you still even get 2 yellow tags per person? Can you request more? If so, from where?

If my last experience is still valid:

1) You'll get the package < 30 days prior to arrival - somewhere in that 14-21 day mark.

2) You'll get two luggage tags for each person registered with Magical Express independent of those with actual air tickets on the airline. ME only knows what you tell them. If you registered the 1 year old with ME, they should get tags, too, yes.

Sorry, don't want to hijack your thread but where on the member website do you manage ME? To setup ME I always have to call member service

I think ME only sends 1 tag per person now.

Also, you can book ME via the member services site if you go to the make a reservation link on the right side of the page. The page that opens will have a window on the left "Vacation Planning," the last item on the list is "Disney's Magical Express." It was a really easy tool to use too. I was able to make the reservation for 2 different incoming and outgoing flights (we have families coming in from different places)

Hope this helps, and I'd love to know where I can get additional tags. I am so over-packing for our 1 year-old. It's kinda what I do

Confirmed! I just called member services. They do only send 1 tag per person now. (They did think there would be one for the infant) CM advised that once I get the 1st set in the mail ("in the next couple weeks") I can call member services and request a 2nd set of tags. Not exactly sure why I have to wait...but whatever.

The form on the member website sends a email to MS who manually inputs the info for DME. We have had errors before so you should check with DME to verify that your reservation is correct.

The direct number is: (866) 599-0951. You can also order extra tags from them direct.

Just a slight correction, the past couple of years they cut back the number of tags to 1 per person, you need to specifically request if you want more and they have no issues sending extra if you need them.

You don't need to wait! You can call DME directly now or ask MS to contact DME on your behalf to get extra sets of tags, Don't know why they said to call back, that doesn't make sense!
