DVC Lounges - some questions

Same experience with me, I thought they were very rude and didnt understand why I couldn't see it.

Never had DVC not want me to look at a model room, they even let me go to the DL lounge to tour the VDH room.

When it first opened they were showing ads of free drinks and stuff and it being a welcome center so I was surprised by the insistence of us not going in lol
I watched a couple YouTube videos where the vloggers planned on showing it, but they weren't allowed inside. It's interesting that DVC sales is putting such an "exclusive" twist on it. Perhaps, they just don't want to pay for staff to be there for lounge access. Or, maybe they are planning on MMB Platinum, where you pay a lot more to be able to get inside. 😂

I have not been in, but am told there is a curtain blocking part of it... so the idea of the area being expanded is not outside the realm of possibility...

Not letting people go in to just tour the room is ridiculous on so many levels. That wouldn't fly if it were my division to run let me tell you....

I think its a little messed up to leave out the people already spending thousands, just let us satisfy our curiosity and leave lol.
Not a good look especially when I believe theyve advertised this welcome center on the Disney files and/or some other promotional materials given to current members

Hopefully Disney is reading this, it certainly didnt feel good to get snubbed just because we already bought from you lol

Of course, but I think it is in Disney's own selfish interest... if I am looking at the Canada preview center, is because I have at least some curiosity at purchasing the property... And, I'm willing to give some amount of time I would be spending at a world-class amusement park to preview a timeshare that I could be spending in a far more "productive way" given that I paid a significant sum to enter this park....

Unlike the EPCOT lounge, there isn't a freestyle machine, there isn't seating for visiting.... This is a place to either make a sale or educate customers about the product. Very different from the Imaginatrium Lounge....

The idea that I would, if I was say, staying at the Beach Club, go through all the effort to take a tour at SSR or the Polynesian on my vacation.... unlikely... especially if I am the family that comes 1 or 2 times a year for my holiday.

This is a luxury product, that has at a minimum a $6,000 price tag. And, touring a villa (as evidenced by the SSR lounge) doesn't take much more time than say 10 minutes...

The more people see the product and imagine themself in that villa, the more likely they get a sale... I don't understand why DVC would want to make that difficult, unless they worry that everyone will be there all the time... That could be solved by inviting members to make appointments or joining a waitlist or a virtual line...

I just don't get it...
