Ive never heard about a lounge for members only in DS so I was just curious about it, I thought it was just a welcome sales center!

It's not a members only space, it is chiefly a sales center - they just have a few tables in the welcome center and they make them available to DVC members as a lounge as well.
As someone who hasn't been to Disney Springs, yet, is there any reason to go to this lounge? I envision DS as being full of food and drinks and I don't think I'd be desperate for a coke and some crackers. Does it get super busy at DS and the lounge is an escape? Does it have a beautiful view? Just wondering if there's any reason to visit it in particular. I'm not above just going for the sake of saying that I was there if I were walking past it and had time.Actually, there IS a full member lounge - it's above the DVC Welcome Center accessed via an elevator. That part is members only - you have to check in with the Welcome Center staff, show your member card and ID, and they will bring you to the elevator and unlock/call it for you to go up. Once upstairs, there are two seating areas, a Freestyle machine, snacks, and a small balcony with a few seats as well overlooking DS. There's also a full sample villa to walk through (as of most recent visit it was Riviera - not sure if they'll change or update as newer villas debut).

Maybe. I enjoyed the terrace. To add, it was Dec 2024, a beautiful day with lots of people to watch, plus the traveling piano and singer blaring below. When you go to the Disney Springs lounge you become a zoo exhibit. The small sales rooms have a view of the lounge space.
You're there so prospective members can see one of the "perks" of membership extras.

I have to assume there is a plan to reconsider/demolish the imagination pavilion... and when that happens the Canada pavilion will take over the DVC lounge site...They refused to let me in the chateau Canada one at epcot, I thought it was a welcome center for all to see, but it seemed they really weren't interested in letting current members in.
I even asked to do the room tour but they were pushing me to the member update instead
Why do you think? Id like to experience it before that happensI have to assume there is a plan to reconsider/demolish the imagination pavilion... and when that happens the Canada pavilion will take over the DVC lounge site...
Because the ride is terrible, the attractions after it are dated at best...Why do you think? Id like to experience it before that happens
I went to the Chateau de Voyage, which is supposed to be a DVC Welcome Home Center. I wanted to look at the model room for the Poly tower. They refused to let me in the chateau Canada one at epcot, I thought it was a welcome center for all to see, but it seemed they really weren't interested in letting current members in.
