DVC Kingdom Tower

Do you think you will be able to rent a room for just a week?

Does anyone have current constuction pictures of the tower? The last time I was there was in December.

what about info on the tower, is Disney releasing data about it?

I would assume (and that is all we can do until Disney makes their "official" announcement), that any new DVC resort would be treated like the other DVC resorts already in operation. A certain number of rooms will be made available through CRO to book just like a hotel room. Personally, I have a feeling that this may be a much more expensive resort to book through CRO, due to the popularity of the location.

I've seen pictures floating around the Internet with updated pictures. You may need to look for up to date trip reports, etc., to find them.

Disney is still refusing to admit that the KTR is going up.

not sure when the annoucement will take place. Think it was scheduled for May.

they announced the AKV early - because it got to the press first.

so don't know if they will again - or just stick to May. the AKV was released in bits and pieces - would rather wait and have all the information on KTR@CR.

I don't see why it would be any different since it's like that at all the DVC Resorts, so why will the Kingdom Tower be any different?

I agree.It will be just like any other DVC..However, being brand new and where it is located, may ensure limited availbility to the general public for awhile.....

don't think so - think once the building is open - the entire building will be open. okay they may be finishing the top floors - but once they get the pattern down that doesn't take long.

so expecting it to be easier at first for the public to get it. but once it sales selling - it will be worst.

oh also expect it to be cheaper that first 6 months. Don't know why but all the DVC resorts when they first open are cheaper than later. maybe getting the bugs out?

definitely - but remember all the problems with AKV - really think disney will ignore it until they are ready.

besides the annoucement is surpose to be in May - May is not long.

of course they could do in March at the stockholder meeting - but still betting on May.

of course don't know if the poor guides can ignore it. they say people are showing up with the newspaper in hand demanding to buy KTR@CR - when Disney says it doesn't exist......

so definitely feel for your guides - they are in a big mess - that they can't control nor do anything about.

disney has told them nothing about KTR@CR.
