DVC In-Room Dining?

This trip we have family traveling with us and they have asked if they could have breakfast brought to our villa - is it possible?
We are not Room service kind of folk, so on past trips it has never occured to me to look for a menu in the room. I feel as if I have seen room service trays and carts in the Villa hallways at BCV before... but 'm not sure...

Can anyone answer this for me?

Yes you can at both of those locations. AFAIK you can at any of the DVC's that are also attached to hotels so the only one's you can't get room service at are SSR and OKW.

We had room service for breakfast every morning during our stay at the BCV in August and everything was delicious!

We did in room breakfast our last day at BCV, they actually had a set of breakfast offering in the "welcome package" (a check off card). it was fun, servings size is above average if you are light eaters and want to share.

At BCV there is also a Captain's Breakfast or something to that effect. It includes, eggs, waffles, bacon, (sausage I think), pancakes, juice and either coffee or tea. We substituted rolls for the waffles if I recall correctly. It is intended for four but five of us shared it easily.

It can also be a great option in the evening if you've got people in your party who are really wiped out from a long day. On our last trip, a couple of us ended up with colds, and just weren't up to going out in the evening every night. My DM loves room service when she is tired, and, honestly, I don't think she would have been willing to stay in DVC rooms if it weren't available. (Not having it available is her biggest complaint about SSR, actually, which otherwise she loves.)

I will say, if you're traveling with people who are interested in having breakfast in the room, but aren't used to DVC, keeping some breakfast foods in your villa is a good option. You might remind your guests that it is a least an option, if they weren't aware of it. (We're bringing guests next year who had no idea we could do a full, hot breakfast in the room in the mornings if we wanted.) If you have a car, it is easy to pick up groceries and if you don't you can have them delivered. You will have a fridge and at least a coffee maker and microwave if you're in a studio, and a full kitchen in a villa.
