We are toying with the idea of doing a early December (first weekend) next year. Since the points are low would it be safe to assume that that would be a busy time for DVC, but not so busy at WDW?:confused3 . If my assumption is correct, how hard is it to book a non home resort at the seven month window? TIA.:thumbsup2

This is a very busy time for DVC, but not very busy at the other non-DVC resorts. It maybe tough to book at the seven month window, but if you are not choosy you will get a room. Make sure to call 7 months out and if no accomodation that fit your needs are available just waitlist for all 6 of the Disney DVC resorts and something should pop up rather quickly.

Also, keep in mind Kidani Village at AKV should be fully online at that time which will definately help.

That's what I thought. We will absolutely book SSR at 11 months and if we can change it we will. If not who cares we will be at WDW!:thumbsup2

I booked a preferred view studio at BWV at 7 months for Dec 12 - 14 this year. I think that BCV also had studio availability then. Also booked BCV at about 6 months last year for Dec 7 - 9 with no problem. Only checked those 2 resorts as the stays are for the Candlelight Processional @ Epcot.

We are going to WDW this Dec. I called day by day to make my 2 BR SSR reservation 11 months out. At 7 months I called day by day to switch to an OKW 2 BR. We are staying in the 2 BR at OKW for a week and then switching to a studio at SSR. I am waitlisted to switch to a diff. resort for this portion of our stay.
I also want to add that you need to be on the phone making your ADRs at the 180 + 10 day mark for this time of year. It seemed to be very competitive trying to get reservations for a lot of the restaurants (not just the popular ones like LeCellier).
We are really looking forward to this trip. We have never been in Dec. and have heard it is beautiful!

Good to know. I wouldn't miss a 180+10 day for anything.:lmao:

Early Dec is an AWESOME time to go, the decorations are up and the parks are DEAD, DEAD!!

Most rides have no line, while the the long lines are 15 min tops!!
