DVC Historical Dues Chart 1991 - 2005

Disneyberry made a very nice chart last year about this time so we could see historical dues changes. Unfortunately, we can no longer post HTML and the chart is impossible to read. I cut and pasted the chart into an HTML file and put it up on my ISP.

BTW, what is VB(sub)?

I think the Sub stands for "subsidized". The Vero Beach dues were subsidized by the developer (or Disney?) IIRC.

This is the story as I heard: the people who bought into VB in the first year or so get lower subsidized dues because they bought based on the fact that the resort would be expanded to the other side of the road (Rte 1?). That didn't happen and DVC sold the land. Since the resort is not the size originally planned, dues are higher. Anyone who bought after the decision was made not to expand pays the full dues (much higher). I'm not sure if the subsidy for the early owners is indefinite or if it ends on a certain date.

I've heard it ends at a certain date but not sure what that date is. Back when i first joined dvc and was deciding about joining, they were pushing OKW and HH and i was told vero's dues will go up <insert date>, just can't remember what that date is.

The limit is 15% per year - not including Capital Reserve or Property Taxes. There has never been an increase close to that figure. Anything higher would require the vote of the members for approval.
