DVC Hawaii

So my wife and I are looking to possibly going to Hawaii, using our Points. As many current DVC members, we would only have a 7 month window to book. Do you think that will be availability for 2011? Or do you think there is going to be a rush of people calling to get there?

Considering during the Premier Week a 2 bedroom for a week costs 441 for the week we consider that to be very reasonable especially if you compare to BCV at 424. Yes the view from the room might not be the best, but you are in Hawaii.

I'm curious too as to what it will be like at 7 months early on. I could see the difficulty and expense for east-coasters (I assume the lion's share of DVC owners are) to fly to Hawaii might make for a reasonable chance despite the perceived demand for a new Disney DVC in Hawaii. Time will tell I suppose.

Since the resort is opening by phases there will be a very limited number of villas available at the 7 month mark. The real difficulty will be whether to book your air to get a good price before the 7 month or realize you'll probably have to pay the higher airfare after you get a confirmed reservation at Aulani.

We hope to go in May 2012 and book at the 7 month mark.
