DVC Grand California on sale . . .

im a founding member and didnt get it...... i was hoping for a spring release though...

I was waiting until Saturday to contact our person @ DVC. We have been trying to not think about the cost but depending on how few we can buy and how much per point...trying not to be negative.
It also says something about it only containing 48 Vacation Homes but how many contracts will they sell?
The purchase window is Jan 25 to March 25 for those who purchased through a California based DVC guide in the past. It also says something about a "special Gift" for Founding Members. And it is expected to be open Fall 2009.
I will be checking back to see if anyone else has info!
Merry Christmas to all & a Safe & Happy New Year:flower3:

So, can just anyone tour these? We did a tour a couple years ago, well before they were starting construction at GCH. We didn't buy in then but we are interested now...not sure if we can do it but we would like to see.

Yep - anyone can tour. Go to any of the DVC centers or just go up to the building. They have to send a guide in with you to open up the model home. The office is just behind the Wonder Tower. If you go out it's parking lot door, it's right to the right. The models are straight ahead of you.

Thanks Nancy!!! :)

Ok--it's really starting to annoy me that they didn't think ahead that just telling us when sales would start would not be enough--especially since they told us to call our guides--and our guides are even more in the dark than we are! (Mine didn't know letters had gone out--I scanned and emailed it to him so he could see what was sent.)

Geesh! You'd think they'd be better organized than this.

We got the letter and are planning to buy. I'll call my guide on Monday even though it sounds like she won't have any more info. My DH has been asking how many points we'd need and thus is anxious to see a points chart, etc.

I believe that technically buying a contract through the DLR office gave us the option to become Founding members. You don't actually become a Founding member until you write that check and buy in. It's a pretty saavy marketing strategy if you ask me.
