Can I call and renew over the phone but downgrade from platinum to gold?
Yes. You can upgrade/downgrade to any level of annual pass you are entitled to during the renewal window and keep the renewal savings.
 
What do they mean by photo pass downloads? As in I'll have access to my picutures without getting the package? Kind of ambiguous when I read this

Can I call and renew over the phone but downgrade from platinum to gold? I forgot to do it when we were there last week and we won't be back until May. (AP expires in 3 weeks)
Just something to consider. If you renew you get the renewal discount but your pass expires much sooner (13 months from current expiration date). However if you buy a new AP voucher before Jan 3rd and activate it in May you will still get a 13 month voucher (supposedly as long as it is activated within 18 months). You'd pay roughly $585 instead of $496 but your pass will then expire approx 5 months later (June 2018 vs Jan 2018). Might not apply to you but if you know you aren't going before may and you might go between Jan 2018 and Jun 2018 that $90 discount isn't worth renewing
 
New at the AP pass. I was going to purchase the gold pass before January 2017. Our first trip is May 26. When we get there and activate the pass is that date the start date? So ours would expire June 26 2018? Thanks for any help.
 
Lots of people have speculated about the 13 month AP and whether or not it applies to them, because they either bought, or "will call"-ed the AP outside the promotion dates and whether they'd get the full 13 months. It appears, based on our experience, that either one qualifies you. I bought mine in August, before the promotion, and "will call"-ed in October. Got the 13 months. Today I bought Guy's AP on the phone, inside the dates, but told the CM that he'll "will call" after the end (after January 3). She told me that as long as he bought it inside the dates, which he did, he'll be OK, whenever he picks it up. So it seems that either applies-either buy it or "will call" it inside the dates and get 13 months.

I activated a 'new' Gold AP Aug 14 via will call. It has the same date, 2017 expiry

DH's the same, activated in October, but just checked MDE it has Nov 2017 expiry

Should I have received the extra month? Honestly, didn't know about the promotion. If so, wonder how I'd ask to have it rectified. Hmmm


I believe it must be activated 18 months from the purchase date.

First I heard of that. Have purchased and hung onto them in past, was thinking of doing so again after Xmas. Guess MS would know.

The 13 month promo began on 10/1 and runs thru 1/3/2017. You can call the Passholder Hotline (407-560-7277) to see if anything can be done for your pass.
