dvc gear question

we just got back from a week at saratoga (YEAH!). i know there is some dvc gear (books keychains shirts etc)at each resort and it varies, as well as the cruise stuff. but when we came home i was on the ebay looking for a pin my hubby had seen and saw 15th anniversary items i had never seen. so my stupid question is, does disney randomly send members dvc items as thank yous, or maybe im just seeing stuff that was limit run at select resorts that just says dvc instead of say "ss/dvc" like the things i saw recently? thanks for any help.

They were giving out a lot of 15th Anniversary stuff two weeks ago at the Member Meet. They have a Member Meet every Wednesday at 4:00 over at the Atlantic Dance Hall.

man and we missed going to that. we'll have to make sure we make time to go next trip we're there on a wends.

Be sure to ask at check-in. They tend to change the time and place quite often. Recently they have been having a game show at the meet. It is fun and the people who participate all win something. I was picked to play and won a DVC cooler/stool. They also gave out a lot of hats, mugs, bags, pins, umbrellas, etc. If you ever do a Disney cruise, be sure to go to the DVC meet they have there too. They gave out some great beach towels and throws, as well as the other stuff.

We won a DVC umbrella at the member meet. We also just this past weekend were given the West Coast version of the DVC pin by a DVC CM at the GC.

A lot of the 15th anniversary merchandise you are seeing also comes from the DVC Member Cruises. They gave us lots of 15th anniversary merchandse and some people do sell it on eBay. We usually keep one set and gift other pieces to friends who didn't go on the cruise.
