DVC GC at DL

We are at GC for the weekend. Construction of the new wing is still at the parking garage stage, no structural steel for a building yet. We were told that the room design should be finalized soon and that there will be a model at SSR. Most of the wing will be additional GC rooms with a small number of DVC villas. Projected occupancy is sometime in 2009.

Have you heard anything about the models at DL? Was there on Wed. and was told that the models at DL were not ready yet cuz the models built were not the exact size of the planned units. They were about a foot short of what they should be. They won't be ready until late May, early June. Anyway, that was what I was told. Just wondering if you heard anything about them. SSR? I will be at OKW in Jun. Maybe I can take a look then.

Anxiously waiting for these to go on sale. DL is still our favorite. Plus I need my add-on for our Nov 2009 trip to WDW.

Where on the GC property can you see the construction? I'm going in May and want to get some pictures.
And darn..was hoping to see a model room.

Construction is on the site of the old valet lot. Best view is from the top of the Sun Wheel at Paradise Pier.

I was told by two separate cast members that the design is still being tinkered with and that it will be consistent with the GC theme, but more upscale.

Hahaha..funny..thinking I'd get on the Sun Wheel for ANYTHING. Where would the best view be from GC property?
