Not quite what we expected but very close!

4.8%, for those who care. That’s the largest % increase in 7 years (most have been ~3%)

On the flip side it’s the first below-inflation price increase I can recall.

With ROFR pretty much stopped right now then resale looks even more enticing. Whether enough new members know about resale is another matter though.

I had a CM more or less say that the value proposition of resale isn’t there anymore because of the limited number of years left on the contracts. Happened during a visit to the EPCOT lounge. Might be indicactive of Disney’s thinking right now, or might just be one CM.

They may be right about 2042 resorts but its not true for VGF, it’s the same amount of years as they are actively selling

not right about Aulani either! Can get that for about half of direct. I know the saying it will never sell out but a great deal for folks that would purchase aulani anyways going resale is a huge savings.

DVCNews shows prices for 25 points for RIV and VGF unless I'm wrong I thought both had minimum add-ons of 50 points now.

No ROFR is still out there Disney just has not been buying back that many contracts at this time.

Did anyone purchase the Aulani direct discount last year for 300+ point purchases that brought the price down to $133/point with double points? Do you know when that deal was announced? I was hoping they would offer the same deal this year, but id doesn't look like it.

Yes it was in November. It’s what caused me to have a second UY and we went with December to get double the points. Too good of a deal to pass up.

That is a fantastic deal! Definitely too good of a deal to pass on. Do you think it was a one time fire-sale to get rid of Aulani points before year end? I haven't seen anything like it since I started looking earlier this year.

Your guess is as good as mine. My guide at the time said he had never seen a promotion like that ever offered by DVC. I think many of us were hoping for something similar to be announced today.

Just to clarify, the double points only came with the Dec UY because that had not yet entered its 2021 UY yet, so those buyers got 2020

Double points is sort of a misconception. Its nothing more than getting current UY points when you buy toward the end of the UY.

During that sale, anyone with a Feb to Oct UY, started with 2021 UY points.
