DVC focus group?!?

I did go. And it was a fun experience. I can't say too much, though, as we had to sign a confidentiality agreement saying we wouldn't disclose the information discussed. It was basically questions about our DVC journey, buying experience, decision making process, and opinions on certain things they asked us about. It was interesting.

Glad it was a good experience, and the agreement does not surprise me.


However I do not believe in the past anyone has mentioned when they had gone they had to sign a confidentiality agreement which is interesting in its self.

I was patrolling this board waiting to hear what they had to say! I should have known they would make people sign a contract.

Without giving anything away, did they make any future plans that they may be leaning towards evident?

Did it seem positive? Negative? Neither, just informative?

Stupid Disney and their CYA attitude.

I can answer this and did not even attend. If they were not gathering opinions on "possible future plans" there would be no need for a CA.

However as we all know with DVC and Disney nothing is certain and always subject to change.

I do wish at times they would put some of this on the member site for all to share their opinions.

Sorry I didn't reply right away I was away on a long weekend trip and then school is ending so I forgot! Anyway I went and I brought my dad with me as he is also a member. It was just the 2 of us talking to a women by the name of Patricia I believe. She explained that she didn't work for disney but does market research in and out of the parks. She asked us a bunch of questions on how many points we own and where, also how we purchased our points, how the process was and how we vacation. She talked about different resorts and options on them. Then she wanted opinions on some possible things DVC members might be offered in the future? I really can't give anything away. It was more about future possibilities with DVasana not about what we would like fixed now. We were taped and recorded and there were people behind a double mirror watching and listening. It lasted an hour and we were compensated $200. I have no idea how we were picked I really didn't ask. We did purchase contracts direct from Disney and also resale. Again sorry it took me soo long to respond.

Our interviewer did say they just did a lot of focus interviews in New Jersey and on some DCL cruises.

Exact same here re: feedback and ideas. I truly hope everything shared was captured and will be taken back - not only what fit their agenda.

It would simply have to be a multiple choice situation, with them compiling those answers with the greatest percentage.

Even just yes or no type questions. I am sure the focus groups gather a more in dept response just hope they do them in several different locations.
