DVC FAQ sticky needed? what topics?

If there is a centralized thread for DVC faqs, then I apologize. I've never seen it. It seems there are a handful of important yet repeated questions that constantly come up, especially with new DVC members or posters.

Would it be a good idea for a new member FAQ thread? If so, nominate the FAQs that should be answered. (Let's keep it to the purely objective questions, not the "should I buy" or "what is the best resort" questions) Here are a few ideas:

-Differences: direct or resale?

-Explain Use Year / use year choice strategy

-If I own at two resorts, when can I combine the points for a reservation?

-What are the maintanence fees? / fee history

-Can point requirements change?

-Do I get Magical Express, Dining Plan, Parking, etc?

-Tell me about this "no daily houskeeping" talk?

-Member Services says nothing available yet Disney says Villas are availabe via regular reservations, what is the deal?

Here is a link to the DVC FAQ already here on the DIS.

There are certainly other topics which could be added to the FAQ, so any suggestions are welcome.

As Mtnman44 has already alluded, with any FAQ the biggest issue is for posters to find and read the information. We see this on an almost daily basis, where there are already threads asking the same question on the same page and yet the question is asked again - it happened today where someone asked why there was no Annual Fee report - when the active thread was already on the same page about 8 posts below. It happends regularly on Planning when posters ask why they see availability on the CRO site and yet are told by MS that nothing is available. In this thread alone we already have two suggestions for that same topic - in the first three posts!

In some cases, posters may have read the information and want further explanation or feel they are asking the same question from a different viewpoint.

Regardless, suggestions for DVC FAQ topics beyond what is already there are welcome.

As a newer person to the boards, I think perhaps a link to the FAQ section located right within the main page of the DVC forums would help people to find the FAQs before posting a question. I haven't been to that wdwinfo.com page in ages - since I found the forums. My first inclination is to do a search for information I'm looking for at the forums and I usually do find it (at times with much patience and perseverance). I can see how it can be daunting though and not everyone has the time to scroll through countless posts to get to the point so I think a standardized answer in the FAQs would be of benefit. The suggestions above seem to be good ones to add to the FAQ as they seem to come up again and again. Funny though, we may hear crickets a lot of the time if/when that is implemented
