DVC email sweepstakes!

In the mail today I got a flyer from DVC. It says that if I register my email address with them by June 30 I get a chance to win some great prizes! The top prize is 4 PAPs!!!! I would love to win this!!! I am new to DVC but have read on these boards that some on you guys have registered for the email updates and never gotten the online newletter. Does this flyer mean that they have worked out all the kinks and now have some new system? If you haven't registerd, don't bother, those passes are MINE, ALL MINE!!!! LOL.....Lacee

Now, that's a prize! Funny that they are enticing people to register when others here say their attempts haven't worked. It also sounds like VM may be going the way of the dinosaur in favor of e-mail communication. That wouldn't be terrible if it gets us more timely info!

If you are on AOL, give DVC another email address. I've posted about this before, but AOL reads mass emails as junk mail (even DVC mails); therefore, you may not receive it.

Don't give DVC your AOL address. Odds are it may not work. It's not DVC's "bug," it's AOL's stupid system.

Just so you're not disappointed, make sure you wait until Sunday to update your e-mail address since the contest doesn't start until June 1st. Or maybe I should encourage you all to enter as soon as possible? LOL

as much as a floriada res. , like yourself. so, lets see, im half way from wdw, so, i guess i have a half of a chance to win, ill just attach a note that says, ill only be able to use it twice for the duration of the pass, maybe that will increase my chances!

... but the only way Disney will recoup the cost of those free PAP's is to have the winner use them as often as possible. "Let them in and they will spend" is their motto. I think the Florida residents may have the inside track on all us out-o-stater's.

You guys make me laugh, as usual! I think it would be nice if DVC did start doing more things via email, hopefully they are going that way. We own another t/s which we trade through RCI. They have a pretty cool system, you can do almost everything online now! I regularly check my account for travel history, current reservations, and weeks which are available for exchange. They recently even started charging 10$ less for the exchange fee if you do the whole thing online! It could really cut done on call in, being put on hold forever stuff. BTW, my husband had to laugh when he read the Disney flyer. It says "winners will be notified by phone." If the whole idea is to get all of our email addresses, why not notify by email? He is a true computer geek though!!! We do not have AOL, but my hubby and 3 of my kids were born in Florida and we lived there many years. And now we live FAR away!!! Hope my chances are good. The only thing I ever won before was a case of beer in a sorority raffle at Florida State. I had lots of help getting rid of it!!! Thanks...Lacee

I'm one of those who've registered and have never received any email updates. I registered 5-6 months ago. Every now and then I go out and try to register again to make sure I did it right the 1st time, but still no email updates. I sure hope the system has been updated or corrected. I don't have much faith that if I try again on 6/1 that I'll get entered into the contest.
