My question is this? We just got this email, and it's about checking in without wasting time... If we do click the link, "Does it give you the room right then and there ( On the p.c. ) ? Or do you get that on the day of? Also if you do get it early, and aren't happy with any of the requests not even coming close, can you still go to the front desk?...T.I.A. and sorry if I've confused anyone...

We did this twice in May, and at our first resort (Poly), we first got a text on the day of check-in that our room wasn't quite ready, then got another text later on with our villa numbers.

At our second resort (BLT), we got a text to please see the front desk for our villa assignment - on check-in day.

Your room still gets assigned like normal but they try to put you in an available room. No one knows yet how this will change room assignments and requests. They tell you that you aren't wasting time but it also reduces the number of front desk CM's thus saving Disney money.

Caution, if you enter your room and decide that you want a different one, they can and often do charge you a cleaning fee.

What do you mean enter a room #? You can actually choose a room?

Bill didn't say enter a room number, he said enter the actual room. What this means is once you are at the resort and your room is ready for you to occupy it, if you physically enter the room and decide you want a different room, Disney can charge you a room cleaning fee for you to move.

Aghh. Reading it back now, yes it makes sense...Nah I wouldn't do that ....I'd kinda know the location prior to actually walking into the room. I'm just not sure if a lot of the BWV rooms are close to being done for the refurb....

I originally told them Village Gr. section mid floor, but it would be kinda nice to have an updated room w/ the bed for my son.
