DVC dues watch 2023

Most of Disney world resorts I think increased their wages signicnaly last year which was driver in last years dues. Keep in mind inflation is like 8% this year alone. So I’m good with a 5% dues increase. My guess is just many other things increased as well in cost.

Most of the increase at SSR is coming from Housekeeping.

That would be very sad because I have stayed in probably 15 different dvc rooms over the last year and not one of them was cleaned well. Never had a problem with the cleanliness of mouse keeping until the pandemic. Dirt on the floors, wrappers, if I walked in bare feet the bottom of my feet were black etc.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I won't have any issues if I go in and prepay my dues, right? I have a stack of gift cards that I'd like to burn through.

My last stay at VGC in August was like this. Dog hairs all over the floor and couch.

I see BWV has averaged around 3% over it’s life. Could this higher percentage (5.6%) be for the 2023 refurb? Do refurb years increase dues?

Login to the DVC site and then go to https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/condo-association-notices. From there expand the "2022 Annual Condominium Association Information" section and you'll see your specific resort documentation.

It's supposed to be budgeted into preceding years, but we all know how that goes. If it has to be 'adjusted,' then it's adjusted. And it usually is.

I’m just guessing but transportation and groundskeeping might have above average costs.

Spread out so house keeping and maintenance is more costly. Same with air conditioning. Lots of buses to service. Also the oldest DVC resort which means lots of maintenance. Usually, towers and buildings are most efficient to maintain.

I think they artificially start them higher, so the dues "increase" is smaller while its actively selling...
