DVC Discounts in Disneyland

I printed the sheet that reflects DVC discounts in Disneyland.


If I show my ID and DVC Member Card, can my parents make the payment? I am referring specifically to restaurants and some merchandise locations.

I don't know. I remember reading some time back that it will not work for AP discounts. If it will be a problem, your parents could buy a disney gift card first and then you could pay with that.

Only if they pay cash or as said above with a gift card. What I've been told by CMs in the past is that for credit cards the names have to match for their registers to process the transaction.

I think in general they may be tightening down on that. In WDW, in December, I showed my DVC card and ID and they let my sister pay for her items. We have different last names.
However, it was only the stores in the parks that they did not bat an eye. DTD was an entirely different experience. They reluctantly said yes, but there was hesitation. If they said no, they said no....we would have been fine with it.

That makes no sense as they do not collect your DVC member number, scan the card or anything of the sort. They just look for a name match and then press a button to give the discount.

If that is the rule than it is the rule and totally okay by me, but what you were told sounds like a load.
