DVC Discount

I also wondered if there is a discount for DVC at restaurants and shopping as there is in both US parks? Or is DVC just something in the States?

I asked this question at Newport Bay Club Hotel in July and was told that there is no discount for DVC members. The CM looked it up and showed me the page from the manual that said no discount. He then asked if I was in the Shareholder's club, which does get a discount. I am not, and asked on the boards today what that was...There's a link to info on the Shareholder's club in a previous post from today (Aug 8). Here's part of that message:

Basically you buy shares in Eurodisney SCA, apply to be a member of the shareholders club, and voila - you get your shareholders card

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess all the benefits of the States don't apply. Still it is Disney.

No, although it's ultimately Disney it's a separate company called Euro Disney SCA. You can use your DVC points to book a stay at a Disney hotel at DLRP although others have said it's an expensive way of using them.

I did look into points to stay and using cash is cheaper than eating up my points.
