From what I've read, tickets for the new Pirates and Princess Party went on sale July 6th. Today I called Member Services to see if I could get two DVC discounted tickets for January 22. I was told tickets don't go on sale until July 12th. I know folks have already purchased them, but they may have been non-discounted tickets.

Has anyone gotten their DVC discounted tickets yet? Should I call back today or just wait two days until the 12th?

My advice is to just wait a few days - no way will the new parties sell out right away (and there is no special advantage to being one of the first to buy, LOL). I know it's hard to wait, though.

Best wishes -

P.S. It could be that the CM just didn't want to take the time to deal with the tickets on a Monday - it's their busiest day. The process for tickets seems to take longer than a reservation (my experience buying the discounted MVMCP tickets earlier this year).

I was told the same thing - I'm looking for 1/22 also...so I'm calling tomorrow. I was a little concerned when I saw that the regular site said tickets were on sale 7/6, and I hope it's not an issue tomorrow when I call either.

This will be my first ever "special" event at Disney. I'm really excited.

They still cannot be ordered through disneyworld.com.....if you go to the description of the party and the dates, it still says "Tickets on sale soon."

I am not too worried about a sell out this far in advance. We are ordering our AP's end of the month and I will get the Party tix then. :thumbsup2

How much are the discounted tickets?

We will be going during this time frame and I think it sounds exciting!!!

Just as a side note, on the Inside the Magic Podcast on Sunday it was mentioned that only the few dates in January would be discounted. All February dates are at full price.

I ordered mine a few days ago, I think the day I read that they went on sale.

I bought for Jan 22 and did receive the DVC discount. 35.10 w/tax for adults and 27.64 w/tax for kids.

On the phone now with MS - they took my credit card and said I would have tickets waiting for me at will call on 1/22. I hope so! I've never done any of the special events...can someone verify that this is the procedure?

I'm told that this special ticket is admission to the park during those hours also...so my guests don't have to buy park tickets for that day unless they want to go to other parks that day. It's our arrival day, and I'm not sure when they'll be getting in if it will be worth it to buy a park ticket for that day...for them. I've got my AP, so I'm set either way.

But MS assured me my tickets are ordered and will be waiting. Good luck to others and hope to see some fellow DISers there that night!

On allears, it also says 2/1 and 2/5 are discounted for DVC, as well.

Anyone buy for those dates yet and know??? :)

I just got off the phone with member services. This is the first time I'm using the DVC discount, and she also told me the tickets would be at the Will Call window. I guess that's better than forgetting to pack them.

Patty, I usually order event tickets with my AP discount and they've always sent me the tickets in advance. I had her confirm that these tickets could not be sent ahead of time, and she checked that for me.

So who's doing Pirates and who's doing Princesses? DH and I are heading for the Pirate quest.

Mousesavers has good info:

Disney's Pirate & Princess Party
For 13 select nights from January 22 through March 8, 2007, guests can embark on a quest for beads and chocolate treasures as they are immersed in a world of pirates and princesses during the all-new “Pirate & Princess Party” at the Magic Kingdom. The party will be held after regular park closing from 7:30 pm - 12:30 am on January 22, 26, 29; February 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 23, 26; and March 2, 5, 8. Entry to the party will require separate admission. (You won't have to have paid admission on the same day to the Magic Kingdom in order to attend the special after-hours event.)

Begin by picking up your "treasure map" and "treasure bag" and choosing your course on a quest for beads and chocolate treasures. Along the way you will witness a special parade and fireworks, experience Pirate Coves and Princess Courts filled with treasure and specially-themed entertainment and enjoy Character Meet and Greets and some of the most popular Magic Kingdom Park attractions.

Gate price (day of event) is $42.95 plus tax (ages 10 & up) and $35.95 plus tax (ages 3-9).

Advance purchase price is $36.95 plus tax (ages 10 & up) and $29.95 plus tax (ages 3-9).

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can buy advance purchase tickets at a special price of $32.95 plus tax (ages 10 & up) and $25.95 plus tax (ages 3-9) for the January 22, 26, 29, and February 1, 5 parties only. Proof of membership is required.

We won't get the discount for our party in March. Bummer. Won't keep us from going though! ;)

We are doing 2 parties. We were only going to do one, but decided to surprise the kids and my Mom and go twice. Both my girls (14 and 3) and my mom wanted to do the Pirates AND the Princesses! :teeth: We are making up some outfits. We will do Pirates one night and Princess the second.

DH is actually thinking about blowing the surprise and asking DS11 if he even wants to go twice, because if he doesn't care one way or the other, they may do DisneyQuest while the girls do the "princess thing." :thumbsup2

Well, considering my boys would revolt at the mere idea of doing the Princess one...we'll go with the Pirate. pirate: Arr!!

Count me in for the 22nd...it will be myself and my two older sisters - so my best guess is that we will do the Princess route...but I guess anything is possible when you get 3 grown siblings together in the Magic Kingdom!

Count me in for Jan. 22nd. We will be visiting AK that day, so this at night is perfect. With 3 people in our party, I hope to get a princess map as well as a pirate map. I wonder if they tell you to pick one because you will only have time to do one. I ordered my tickets on Monday. Was told they would be mailed to me within 10 days. They are printing them now. I cant wait to see what they look like. Oh the little things that get me excited!!

BTW-
You can now buy tickets for the discounted dates at the WDW ticket store through the member website. :thumbsup2

Six months to go and I am all excited already.
