DVC Direct Agent Perks

Hello everyone. Does anyone know if the DVC direct agents have any latitude to provide perks when buying direct? Outside of listed prices/discounts, do agents have the ability to give double points the first year, or any other incentives in order to close a deal?

The incentives for buying direct are the same for everyone. The only difference is the more points you buy the better the price can be. But that will apply to everyone.

All CMs for Disney get a discount…small…for themselves or family members when buying. I got an extra $1000 off my 175 RIV points because my DD was a CM at that time.

Guides have no wiggle room to change things to close a sale.

Unlike most timeshare developers, Disney doesn't negotiate. The price is the price, and the terms are the terms. The prices and terms change from time to time, but that's not on an ad hoc basis.

I guess one perk was my guide indicated they had some leeway to hook us up with some fast passes on our first trip (this was back before they ended). I haven’t heard anything recent but maybe they will be able to offer some version of the guest recovery lightening lanes?

Free giveaways for coming in are generally published. Recently they’ve been giving away prints. Haven’t heard of any LLs. IIRC the free FP were for taking the tour, not for purchasing.

For me I didn’t do the tour but was offer from my agent when I purchased. He offered to meet up with us for a drink when we came down and said he could hook us up with some fast passes. We weren’t able to do it on our side and by time we could covid had ended fastpass but it was offered for us on purchase with no tie in to tour.

Many guides offer this. I got them as well for the first trip too!! It was nice little extra after buying!

We were given FPS when doing the presentation on the Disney cruise when we sailed in February 2020. Alas for us, we never got to use them… :-(
